Hyped up Feminine High Tea

Who says high teas have to mean dry sandwiches and doily table clothes. The gals at
Betty May Vintage know how to style a spread. From bridal to baby showers and all occasions in between you can have all things glam and contemporary whilst also using the most beautiful eclectic vintage wares.
A high tea needs cake!

The style brief for this high tea was feminine flower tones, antique crystal, fine bone china and silver accents. All things we totally adore!

With that in mind came this beauty. Totally customised for the occasion with its dusty pink hues and aged cracked textured finish. A technique called base relief was also introduced. This is where you see the floral work raised on the base and top edge of the cake. This further reinforces that stone look. A perfect pairing that was highlighted with the cake sitting high on the worn antique dresser.
Looks can be deceiving as you cut into this dainty cake to expose its moist chocolate centre. Yes. Chocolate mud cake with our decadent chocolate ganache.
And because we know you’ll ask. Here’s a list of all the amazing vendors.
