How they met:

A couple that Summadayze together stay together. Well that's how the gorgeous Laura and David met. Friends at first this couple blossomed into a strong couple that have explored the world together making many memories along the way.

Something old, something new, something borrowed something blue!

Traditions can come in many forms and for Laura and David it was the wedding date. They wanted to spend their first day as a married couple celebrating their 9 year anniversary. They wanted to skip tradition and just enjoy family. friends and memories shared during the day.
The cake!Combining the traditional Fondant iced cake with the ever so popular semi naked drip cake created a refined earthy tone to Laura and Davids wedding cake. Standing elegantly in front of the white brick walls of Gather & Tailor it certainly made a statement with its olive branch halo and champagne gold leaf collar. It screamed eat me, but yet admire my hella good looks first. That's if cake could talked.

Layers of Lemon and blueberry cake and Hazelnut salted caramel peeked out from the semi naked exterior. It was also drizzled with our salted caramel to create that golden drip you see in the top two tiers.

The olive branch halo tied in with the foliage garlands that hung from the ceiling and draped from the tables, courtesy of the uber talented Celia Fox team. Gather and tailor is such a rare find with its industrial charm that you can't help to take on the less is more mentality.

Advice for Future Brides

Have faith in your suppliers and take the time to choose ones you love and trust. This will really help minimise any stress you have on the day. I was so lucky to work with suppliers I loved so that I felt safe letting them do their thing and was thrilled with the results. Also, don't stress if any hiccups happen on the big day. Something is always bound to go wrong so there's no need to let that ruin your day, chances are no one can even tell there's something wrong. The only thing that matters is that you're marrying your best friend, everything else is just the icing on the cake.
